Wrinkle 7

This panorama was taken for the Wrinkle Project, on the Summer Solstice, June 21st, 1999, 19:49 UTC. The theme for this Wrinkle shoot was "work." This is the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Known primarily as a local Mecca for shopping and entertainment, the Arizona Center also includes a high-rise office complex. Every day, during the early afternoon, the workers flee their cubicles in search of a little rejuvenation and, perhaps, lunch. A well-groomed garden is conveniently located just beyond the food court and a couple of nicer restaurants for just this purpose. There, the sounds of murmuring water from numerous fountains mingle with the chirping of birds in a valiant attempt to drown out the constant drone of the city. A few souls brave the infamous Arizona Summer sun in their quest to escape work for a precious few moments.
