Collaboration Between Arizona Opera and Hawaii Opera Theatre Education Departments30 May, 1997 The education staffs of Arizona Opera and Hawaii Opera Theatre are collaborating in the development of a comprehensive teacher guide for Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, which both companies are performing during their 1997-98 seasons. The teacher guide, which is designed to prepare students grades 9-12 for attending a performance, will contain information appropriate for multi-curricular applications including history, literature, foreign languages, social studies, and conflict resolution. Pre- and post-performance activities and tools for assessing student achievement will be included in the guide, which should be available in the Fall of 1997.
