| One of the most sought after artists in the world, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa begins her national recital tour with Arizona Opera. Born in New Zealand, Kiri Te Kanawa’s legendary voice led to her meteoric rise to operatic superstardom. She is a familiar figure at the leading opera houses which include Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Paris Opera, Vienna Stat and La Scala. Her extensive recordings include the complete operas of Mozart, Puccini, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, and Strauss as well as symphonic, contemporary, and American musical genre.
